Meet the Founders
We’re Justin and Ally Grossman, the founders of By the Way Inclusive.
Ally is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, and Justin brings a background in special education. Together, we share years of experience supporting individuals with disabilities, working closely with families, caregivers, and support professionals to help identify meaningful, appropriate, and engaging activities.
As lifelong members of the Erie community, we’ve seen how difficult it can be for adults with disabilities to find inclusive events in one place. We created By the Way Inclusive to make discovering accessible, welcoming opportunities easier and to help build a stronger, more connected community.
Our mission is simple: to remove barriers to participation by providing a free, easy-to-use resource that helps people discover events where everyone belongs.
We believe inclusion starts with connection, and we’re proud to support organizations that are creating opportunities for adults with disabilities to socialize, learn, volunteer, and thrive throughout Erie County.

At By the Way, we believe everyone deserves more opportunities to discover, connect, and belong. To help families, caregivers, and support staff feel confident while exploring new experiences, every event added to our site is reviewed, screened, and verified before being shared.
